Project Description
Bradford Regional Airport serves as an important transportation hub for the region, supporting both commercial and general aviation. KTH Architects undertook a series of renovations and expansions to modernize the terminal building, improving passenger amenities and operational efficiency. These upgrades enhance the airport’s ability to serve travelers while maintaining its role as a key gateway for business and leisure aviation in the area.
Bradford Regional Airport was originally established as a military training airfield during World War II before transitioning into a public airport.
The airport provides essential air service to the region through the federally subsidized Essential Air Service (EAS) program, ensuring connectivity for rural communities.
It is home to a U.S. Forest Service Air Tanker Base, which supports aerial firefighting efforts in the Allegheny National Forest and surrounding areas.
