Project Description
The Area Transportation Authority of Northwest Pennsylvania and the City of St. Marys selected KTH Architects to design a modern Intermodal Bus Terminal to improve transit services in the region. This 8,000-square-foot facility features concrete and steel construction with durable, energy-efficient materials. Designed to accommodate buses of all sizes, the terminal includes ticketing areas, administrative offices, passenger amenities, and storage for transit vehicles. Once completed, the terminal will enhance transportation options, streamline operations, and provide a more convenient experience for riders in Northwest Pennsylvania.
The terminal improves public transit connectivity in rural Pennsylvania, providing a critical link for commuters and travelers.
The facility is designed to accommodate multiple bus sizes, ensuring flexibility for future transit expansion.
St. Marys, home to this terminal, is known for being the birthplace of Straub Brewery, one of the oldest continuously operating breweries in the U.S.
