- Cost: $1.4M Construction Cost, single prime contract including vehicle control systems
- Size: 140’x65’ outdoor canopy structure.
The goal here was to provide covered parking spaces for multiple car rental agencies. The cars and customers are protected from the severe precipitation and winds encountered at ERI, which is located adjacent to Lake Erie.
The colors and materials were selected to blend with the surrounding terminal building and the epoxy paint system was specifically designed for snow melt products used at the airport for rust prevention. LED lighting with control systems were integrated into the design for safety, aesthetics, and energy efficiency.

This new construction of a one story, Snow Removal Equipment Building for ERI contains 9 apparatus bays. To speed construction and control cost during a supply chain shortage, KTH implemented concrete masonry bearing walls with a wood truss roof system. The building exceeds the International Energy Conservation Code by incorporating continuous exterior foam sheathing, and 15” of attic insulation. The new building also includes a brush maintenance crane, radiant ceiling heating, and an accessible restroom.
