MEET THE TEAM: JERRY BANKOVICH

Jerome Bankovich, Jr., AIA, LEED is a Registered Architect and Vice President of KTH Architects, Inc. He is a 1987 graduate of Fairmont State University where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural Engineering Technology. Mr. Bankovich began his career with KTH Architects, Inc. in 1987. In 1989, he furthered his education by returning to school and earned his Master of Architecture degree from Clemson University in 1992, which included a semester at the Charles E. Daniel Center in Genoa, Italy. While at Clemson University, he maintained his association with KTH though summer internships and returned full-time upon graduation. He earned his New Jersey Architecture Registration in 1997, Pennsylvania Architecture Registration in 1998, and Virginia Architecture Registration in 2004. Although he has diverse project experience, he has concentrated his efforts on educational and government projects. Mr. Bankovich is a member of the American Institute of Architects, PA School Board Association, and the Green Building Council. Mr. Bankovich also serves as the Vice Chair for the Clearfield County Economic Development Corporation.

  5. How did you end up working at KTH Architects? My brother played volleyball with Bob Hallstrom
  6. How many people worked at KTH Architects when you joined us? Five people
  7. What is the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from your time at KTH? Do it the correct way
  8. If you were to go onto a stranded island, and could only take 3 items, which would you take?Knife, Gun, Ammunition
  9. What made you want to be an architect?  That’s what I was good at
  10. What would be your “dream project?” Any project with an unlimited budget
  11. Are you a morning person or a night owl? A little of both
  12. What is your favorite part of the design and construction process? You get to experience the result
  13. If you could choose one place to visit in the entire world, at any time period, where would you go and when?Rome during their empire
  14. What do you wish more people knew about architecture?What we actually do
  15. What is your fondest memory of your time at KTH?The many social events
  16. Who is your hero in life or someone you strive to be like?I strive to be myself
  17. What motivates you to work hard?Want to do my best
  18. What is your proudest accomplishment in life?My family and friends
  19. What do you do when you’re not working?Spend time with family and do some housework
  20. If you were a superhero, what would your superpower be?Super-Strength
