Project Description

St. Catherine of Siena Church underwent a comprehensive renovation inspired by the liturgical reforms of Vatican II, with a focus on restoring the sanctuary’s original 1904 design while incorporating modern elements. The project included the creation of a central altar dais, reservation chapel and tabernacle, reconciliation chapels, and flexible seating to accommodate contemporary worship needs. In addition, a new egress was added and direct access to the balcony was provided. Many of the changes made in earlier renovations were either removed or thoughtfully reconfigured, such as reopening closed windows, refurbishing the original vigil lamp, and reinstalling key light fixtures, resulting in a harmonious blend of tradition and functionality.
