Project Description
The FAA flight service station work included a complete tear off and new membrane roofing over new insulation. On Hangar D, we implemented a flute fill insulation and additional rigid insulation layers topped with a new membrane roof. Both buildings have extended roof warranties with greatly improved insulation for continuous energy savings. The project was bid with the PA Costars program and our services included construction administration and project closeout services.
Both of the existing buildings had original roofs that were over 30 years old
The buildings and airport were kept in operation throughout construction and needed to be kept water-tight during construction
Amelia Earhart visited the Williamsburg Regional Airport on July 20, 1929
